Cortisol manager
« on: March 01, 2017, 12:23:04 AM »
Just double checking if anyone has taken cortisol manager- it says cortisol is naturally made in the body, but researching this medication also suggests that cortisol is similar to hydrocortisone, the topical steroid.
Are these two related? Can anyone confirm that cortisol manager is a natural product and not an oral steroid that's going to set us backwards?
Thanks in advance!
1 year of mild steroids used more off than on for my daughter's eczema, then 3 months of consistent chlobetasol use as directed by her allergist. Began Ava's TSW in January 2016 at age 4.

I don't know about the specific product, but cortisone is the synthetic version of what our bodies produce: cortisol.

Cortisol is a stress hormone; elevated levels are great when your in a stressful situation and need to survive... It energizes you. Not so great when elevated long term. It begins breaking down the body... We all know about that.
