That is a lot of information regarding something that has nothing to do with red skin syndrome.  This info has to do with staph and infections occuring from stopping steroid use. Not the actuall culprit.  If it did work, would you not see almost imediate results from dietary changes.  Not 2 years in.  You are explaining the symptoms not the cause.

I wish I could advise on dietary changes to help cure tsw but the truth is only time is the cure.
3 years in and almost fully healed.
Take care

Hi All,

I won't be able to make it anymore on Thursday evening since I've been asked to visit a mid showcase for clients at work and it's conflicting with this time (to be fair Gwen asked which days would work best it's something that came up after).

As for a quick update, I've been TS free since January 2013 and had it the worst until August 2014 where I finally was able to have periodic remissions before another flare would kick in. I was able to re-build my life after being bed ridden for a year and half and have recently in the past 4 months been grateful for a chance to prove myself in a relevant field of work that I have been working towards since my TSW.

It's been a hard few years. Anyone who is currently going through the worst of it and is committed in wanting to see the light at the end of the tunnel; do your best to find support from whom you can turn to, whether its your family, friends and any helpful physician who will listen and monitor you to prevent any serious infections while your skin, organs and body is having to go through this very demanding and painful time.

I also took my healing and bed ridden time as a way to work on my spiritual and emotional self. Meditating when you can, and learning about health in general and educating ourself is what gave me hope to keep going. I found I was able to build my intuition and internal confidence through this turmoil. I also feel everyone heals differently. My usage was never more than 1% hydrocortisone and protopic on my face and Betamethasone dipropionate on areas on my body. I still looked like a 2nd degree burnt victim for years going through withdrawal.

At the moment, near the end of 2017, I feel like I can build my life again and that's where most of my energy is now being focused on. I am totally down to meet up for coffee with anyone who needs support one-on-one, unfortunately I won't be able to make it this Thursday.

My love and well wishes are with anyone still going through this. Wishing you all the best with healing and with feeling healed too!

Canada / Toronto Meet Up! Nov. 30th!!
« Last post by Gwen on November 27, 2017, 11:53:00 AM »

Hi All!

It's been a very long time since we all got together. I'm sure at this point we're all at very different stages...hopefully healed or getting close. There's been much interest in getting together again to share our stories and struggles.

Looks like it's finally happening on Thursday November 30th at our usual place...Baka Cafe, 2256 Bloor St. W, Toronto @ 6:30 till closing (9pm). We won't be upstairs this time, but a space will be reserved for us in their new section facing Bloor St, ground floor. Lots of street parking or take subway to Runnymede Station and walk one block west.

I won't be sending out anymore private messages, so please check the ITSAN site for any last minute changes or cancellations before you head out.

Please RSVP so we know how many seats to save!!

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Hi, Iím Carol from Surrey BC. Have u done tyenol. Two naturopath s told me itís a tyenol reaction but doctors wonít admit it. I too had those burn like marks on my face and thatís what it felt like. My daughter had it on her neck had had not used any steroid creams. Very puzzling. I have used steroid creams for eczema but from time to time also. Have stopped all now and wonít take tyenol again just in case.  I was taking it for severe broken wrist and thatís when my face broke out in those burn like marks .

I am also 4+ years in TSW and have seen over 10+ TCM doctors, but so far none can completely cure my symptoms. I still flare on my face, neck and arms. What's your experience with those TCM doctors?

Hello Everyone!

I want to share my on going journey with everyone here.  Its been 5 years 3 months; but am nearly there!!

I saw big improvement on my face a little over a month ago, so I decided it was time to go & preach  :say_lol: to the world as it were and create more awareness.

Please subscribe, comment and like the vlogs [/u]so that the vlogs get more visibility; thus getting to those who need to hear and see the repercussions of topical steroids.

Thanking you in advance.

Just wanted to make a post to see if anyone from HK is still active here. I've been trying to treat RSS (I never used steroids for an extended period of time, and my first flare was unrelated--but the symptoms are exactly the same) for four years now. I use antihistamines occasionally, but have made most progress with TCM.

However, some TCM prescriptions cause me to flare, and after persisting with the practitioner for a few more times, I would switch in hopes of getting the right prescription. I've been to 10+ TCM practitioners now, and am still searching for the right one. I haven't tried Dr. Mak (or Dr. Lam) as mentioned in this forum. But wanted to ask if anyone has any updates on their experiences with these doctors.

In any case, I'm on the look out for a TSW/RSS-experienced TCM doc and wanted to reach out to see if we can pool our experiences together!
